Look at these questions and answers from the dialogue. What word starts every question?
Do you like this book? → Yes, I do.
Do you live in New York? → No, I don't.
Do you have children? → No, we don't.
Explain:
How do we make questions with 'you'?
You like coffee. → Do you like coffee? — Add DO at the beginning. The verb doesn't change.
Do you like coffee? → Yes, I do. / No, I don't. — Short answer: do/don't. NEVER repeat the verb.

15 minutes- 'Do you...?' — o salto: ate agora perguntas com 'be' (Are you...? Is he...?). Agora com 'Do'. A dificuldade NAO e entender, e PRODUZIR. Aluno dira 'You like coffee?' sem Do.
- Short answers — regra rigida: 'Do you like coffee?' → 'Yes, I do.' (NAO 'Yes, I like.'). Short answer = do/don't, NUNCA repete o verbo.
- Ambas speakers femininas: Laura e Aisha sao mulheres. Diferenciar pelo tom: Laura animada/curiosa, Aisha calma/reservada.
- 'Want to see photos?' — forma coloquial (sem 'Do you'). NAO ensinar como regra. Se aluno perguntar: 'In fast English, we sometimes drop Do you. But in class, always say Do you want...?'
- Collocations: 'listen TO' (nao 'listen music'), 'go TO' (nao 'go gym'). Insistir no 'TO'.
- Entonacao de pergunta: 'Do you like THIS BOOK?' — voz sobe. vs 'I live in London.' — voz desce.
- Aisha usa 'I' e menciona a irmã em São Paulo — boa oportunidade pra praticar sujeitos terceira pessoa na fase de follow-up.
